Adjusting Rear Lid Lock




51 24 004 - Adjusting rear lid lock





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove panel for rear lid

Prerequisite:
Rear lid must be correctly adjusted to fit; if necessary, adjust rear lid Adjustments.

For ideal adjustment, refer to Body gap dimensions .





Press in buffer stops (1) on rear lid on left/right completely.

Note:
Operation is described in:

Unclip covers (1).

Slacken screws underneath on servo lock until it is just able to move and centers itself.

Important!
Lock pin (3) must not brush against upper rear lid lock section.

Close rear lid.
Servo lock (2) thereby adjusts itself correctly.





Installation:
Check sliders (1) on servo lock (2) for damage, replace if necessary.





Open rear lid.

Tighten down screws on lock pin (3).

Check adjustment of rear lid and servo lock, repeating adjustment if necessary.





If necessary, slacken screws (1) (do not release fully) and slide upper rear lid lock section (2) in direction of arrow.

Check adjustment of rear lid and upper rear lid lock section, repeating adjustment if necessary.





Adjust buffer stops (1) on rear lid.
