Removing and Installing/Replacing Left Headlight Vertical Aim Adjuster (Xenon Headlight)




67 16 011 - Removing and installing/replacing left headlight vertical aim adjuster (xenon headlight)





Warning!
Xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage! Therefore disconnect xenon headlights from the power supply.
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition unit, control unit and lamp) may only be carried out by specialist personnel.

After installation:
- Adjusting headlights Adjusting Headlights





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left headlight Removing and Installing Left Headlight (Xenon Headlight) (xenon headlight)





Release screws (1) and fold down cover cap for headlight vertical aim adjuster (2).
Unlock catch and remove high beam cover cap (3) in direction of arrow.





Build date up to 03/05:
Disconnect plug connection (1) and remove cover cap for headlight vertical aim adjuster (2).
Release screws (3).
Feed out headlight vertical aim adjuster (4) in direction of arrow and remove.





Installation Note:
Feed ball head (1) of headlight vertical aim adjuster (2) in direction of arrow into mounting (3).
Pass headlight through removed cover cap for low-beam headlight to facilitate the feed-in process. Ball head (1) must audibly snap into place in mounting (3).





Build date from 03/05:
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2) and slide headlight vertical aim adjuster to left and remove towards rear.





Installation Note:
Move ignition unit (1) in direction of arrow until mounting (2) approaches opening.
