Removing and Installing/Replacing Upper Section of Steering Column Trim

32 31 004 - Removing and installing / replacing upper section of steering column trim





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove lower section of steering column trim Removing and Installing/Replacing Lower Section of Steering Column Trim
- Move steering column into "lower" and "extended" position
- Remove wood trim on instrument panel, middle 51 45 363 - Removing and installing/replacing center wood trim on instrument panel





Note:
The steering wheel/front section has been removed to simplify the depiction in the graphics.

Unclip cover caps (1).
Unfasten screws.

Installation:
Replace expansion rivets.





Pull off upper section with a firm jolt and remove towards rear.





Installation:
Pins (1) must engage in locks (2).
