Convertible Top Latch: Service and Repair

54 34 140 - Removing and installing/replacing base plate on left or right





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front roofliner trim





Release screws (1).
Remove base plate (2).

Installation:
Screw on base plates loosely.
Base plates should still be able to be slid in order to centre themselves.
Close soft top.
Base plates glide into place.
Tighten down screws on base plate.
Tightening torque 54 34 06AZ 54 34 Motor-Driven Convertible Top (Electrical Components).
