Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

11 61 050 - Removing and installing air intake manifold (S65)





Special tools required:
- 00 9 250 00 9 250 Torque Wrench with Flexible Extension






Important!
Do not use antiseize agents to install the air intake manifold.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove air cleaner housing Service and Repair.





Disconnect plug connection (1) on intake air temperature sensor.





Unlock hose (2) for idle actuator incoming air at fastener (1) and detach in direction of arrow.





Unlock hose (2) for condensate drain line at fastener (1) and detach in direction of arrow.





Installation Note:
Each hose clamp on the decoupling element is exactly positioned.

Loosen hose clamps (1).

Secure hose clamps with special tool 00 9 250 00 9 250 Torque Wrench with Flexible Extension.

Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ [1][2]11 61 Air Intake Manifold.

Note:
Picture shows hose clamps (1 to 3).





Release hose clamp (1) on cylinder 4.

Secure hose clamps with special tool 00 9 250 00 9 250 Torque Wrench with Flexible Extension.

Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ [1][2]11 61 Air Intake Manifold.





Release hose clamp (1) on cylinders 5 to 8.

Secure hose clamps with special tool 00 9 250 00 9 250 Torque Wrench with Flexible Extension.

Tightening torque: 11 61 1AZ [1][2]11 61 Air Intake Manifold.

Remove intake air manifold towards top.





Important!
Do not lay any tools or foreign bodies in intake area.

Risk of damage to throttle valves / engine.





Note:
Assemble engine.
