Crankshaft Balancer Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J 41816-A Harmonic Balancer Puller
- J 41998-B Crankshaft Balancer Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Use the J 41816-A in order to remove the crankshaft balancer.
4. Use a utility stand to support the right side of the frame and powertrain.
5. Remove the right side frame bolts.
6. Raise the vehicle or lower the frame and powertrain in order to gain access to the crankshaft balancer.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
2. Install the accessory drive belt.
3. Lower the vehicle or raise the frame and powertrain in order to align the frame to the vehicle.
4. Install the frame right side bolts.
5. Remove the utility stand.
6. Lower the vehicle.
