SC9K-10 Doors Do Not Automatically Lock W/All Doors Closed
DOORS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED AND TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTED OUT OF "PARK" WITH IGNITION SWITCH IN "RUN"SC9K-10:
Circuit Description
When the keyless entry receiver senses voltage on CKT 39 (ignition switch in "RUN"), no voltage on CKT 275 and the ground removed from CKT 156 (all door jamb switches open, all doors closed), the keyless entry receiver applies voltage to CKT 195. The power door lock relay is energized to activate the door lock motors and lock all doors.
Test Description
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Isolate a power door lock system fault or keyless entry system fault.
2. Isolate a keyless entry system functional failure.
3. If the courtesy lamp function operates normally, CKT 156 to the keyless entry receiver and the connection at the receiver are good.
4. Checks for unwanted voltage at terminal "C" of the blue connector when transmission is in drive.
5. Checks for voltage input at terminal "C" of blue connector with transmission in "PARK."
Diagnostic Aids
Terminal "B" of blue connector must have voltage to it with key "ON," for automatic lock function to work.
