Tests M: Diagnostic Trouble Code 34:

OPERATION:
The computer command ride (CCR) controller uses the vehicle speed input to determine ride firmness. It sets diagnostic trouble code 34 when no speed signal is detectable but it has seen the lateral acceleration switch close 5 or more times, indicating that the vehicle is moving.

When the CCR controller sets diagnostic trouble code 34, it turns on the fault indicator lamp and sets all the struts to the firm position.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- Powertrain control module (PCM) diagnostic trouble code 24 is set.
- CKT 817 is open or shorted to ground.
