OPERATION:
Voltage for operation of the computer command ride (CCR) system is supplied by I/P fuse block fuse 17 when the ignition switch is in RUN. The CCR controller detects faults within the system. When a diagnostic trouble code occurs, the CCR controller records the diagnostic trouble code in its memory and turns on the fault indicator LED. The diagnostic trouble codes can be read by grounding the CCR controllers diagnostic test terminal or by accessing with a bi-directional scan tool. The CCR controller is grounded at ground G104. Loss of power or ground to the CCR controller causes the system to be inoperative.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
Possible causes for the CCR controller not flashing diagnostic trouble code 12 when the controller's diagnostic terminal is grounded are:
- Loss of the power or ground CKTs to the CCR controller.
- An open in CKT 1050.
- An open or short to ground in CKT 1770.
