9K-10 Doors Do Not Automatically Lock W/Doors Closed
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) senses voltage on CKT 639 (ignition switch in "RUN"), no voltage on CKT 275 (trans. out of park) and the ground removed from CKT 156 (all door jamb switches open, all doors closed), the RCDLR applies voltage to CKT 195. The door lock relay is energized to activate the door lock actuators and lock all doors.
CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Checks for normal operation of the RCDLR.
2. If the courtesy lamp function operates normally, CKT 156 to the RCDLR is not shorted to ground.
3. Checks for an unwanted voltage at terminal "C" of the "C2" connector with the A/T in DRIVE."
4. Checks for voltage at terminal "C" of the "C2" connector with the A/T in "PARK."
5. Checks for voltage at CKT 275 through transmission position sensor switch (Park/Neutral Position (PNP)).
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Terminal "B" of the "C2" connector must have voltage to it with the ignition switch "ON," for automatic function to operate.
