9K-8 Remote Control Door Lock Receiver/Trans Will Not Program
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) applies voltage to CKT 1455. When the programming connector terminals "A" and "B" are shorted together, the RCDLR senses a voltage drop on CKT 1455. The RCDLR then cycles all door lock actuators once. The RCDLR then waits for input from the transmitter(s) or for the jumper to be removed from the keyless entry programming connector.
CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Check that the RCDLR applies voltage to CKT 1455.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Program a known good transmitter (see procedure), and test the RKE system. If the RKE system operates normally, the original transmitter was defective. If the RCDLR does not program, using a known good transmitter, replace the RCDLR.
