Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement).
2. Remove the rear carpet retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Rear Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement).




3. Starting with the top retainer use the J 38778 to disengage the retainers and remove the lower trim panel from the center pillar.
4. Remove the seat belt from the slot in the lower trim panel.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seat belt to the slot in the lower trim panel.




2. Install the lower trim panel to the center pillar.
3. Push firmly on the lower trim panel in order to seat the retainers.
4. Install the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement).
5. Install the rear carpet retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Rear Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement).
