Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the fuel filler door.




2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the filler door release actuator, if equipped. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the bolts from the fuel filler pocket at the fuel filler neck.
5. Tape the opening above the fuel filler pocket to prevent paint damage.
6. Use a small, flat-bladed tool at the top edge of the fuel filler pocket to remove the pocket. Press down and out to free the pocket.




7. Remove the fuel filler pocket from the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the fuel filler pocket to the fuel filler neck.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the fuel filler pocket at the fuel filler neck.

Tighten the fuel filler pocket bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

3. Install the filler door release actuator, if equipped. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Replace the fuel filler cap.
5. Close the fuel filler door.
