Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .




2. Disconnect the electrical connector (5, 6) from the lid latch assembly (3).
3. Remove the bolts (4) retaining the lid latch assembly (3).
4. Remove actuator cable from latch.
5. Remove the lid latch assembly (3).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lid latch assembly (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (4) in order to retain the lid latch assembly (3).

Tighten the bolts 10.5 N.m (93 lb in).

3. Install actuator cable to latch.
4. Connect the electrical connectors (5, 6) to the lid latch assembly (3).
5. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .
