DTC Descriptors
DTC C0141 00
- Left Traction Control System (TCS) Solenoid/Motor Circuit
DTC C0146 00
- Left Traction Control System (TCS) Solenoid/Motor 2 Circuit
DTC C0151 00
- Right Traction Control System (TCS) Solenoid/Motor Circuit
DTC C0156 00
- Right Traction Control System (TCS) Solenoid Circuit
Circuit/System Description
The isolation and prime valve solenoid circuits are supplied with battery power when ignition is in the ON position. The EBCM controls the valve functions by grounding the circuit when necessary.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* The ignition is ON.
* The DTC can be set after system initialization.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The DTC will set when the EBCM detects one of the following internal to the EBCM only:
* An open in the solenoid coil or circuit.
* A short to ground in the solenoid coil or circuit.
* A short to voltage in the solenoid coil or circuit.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
If equipped, the following actions occur:
* The electronic brake control module (EBCM) disables the ABS/traction control system (TCS)/vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES)/dynamic rear proportion (DRP) for the duration of the ignition cycle.
* A malfunction DTC is set.
* The ABS indicator turns ON.
* The Stability Off indicator turns ON.
* The red BRAKE warning indicator could turn ON.
Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC
* The condition for the DTC is no longer present.
* The condition for the DTC is no longer present and the DTC is cleared with a scan tool.
Diagnostic Aids
The solenoid valve circuit and the solenoid coil are internal to the EBCM. No part of the solenoid circuit is diagnosable external to the EBCM. The DTC sets when there is a malfunction in the solenoid circuit internal to the EBCM only.
