Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement (Smart Motor)

Removal Procedure




1. Lower the headliner in order to access the sunroof motor/actuator. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the screws securing the sunroof motor/actuator to the module.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the sunroof motor/actuator to the sunroof module.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the sunroof motor/actuator screws.

Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Verify the sunroof operation.
5. Initialization/Teach the sunroof motor. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (Programming and Relearning) .
6. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
