Engine Coolant Fan Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement (L26/3.8L) (Service and Repair)Fan Shroud Replacement (LD8) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the cooling fan motor retaining bolts.




4. Remove the cooling fan motor from the fan shroud.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the cooling fan motor to the fan shroud.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the cooling fan motor retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement (L26/3.8L) (Service and Repair)Fan Shroud Replacement (LD8) (Service and Repair).
