Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (V6)
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Hot Exhaust System Warning (Hot Exhaust System Warning).
Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).
1. Disconnect the oxygen sensors after the catalytic converters.
2. Remove the front exhaust nuts (1) from the rear muffler pipe.
3. Remove the nuts (1) and gasket (2) from the right catalytic converter.
4. Remove the nuts (1) and gasket (3) from the left catalytic converter (3).
5. Remove the bolts (1) from the front pipe exhaust bracket (2).
6. Carefully lower the front exhaust pipe.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
1. Install the front exhaust pipe nuts (1) and gasket (2), to the rear muffler pipe. Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
2. Install the nuts (1) of the front exhaust pipe to the lower right catalytic converter. Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
3. Install the nuts (1) of the front exhaust pipe to the lower left catalytic converter. Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb ft).
4. Install the bolts (1) of the front exhaust pipe bracket (2) to the underbody. Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5. Connect the oxygen sensors electrical connectors.
6. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
