Coolant Heater Cord Replacement

Coolant Heater Cord Replacement (LZ9 or LGD) (3.9L)

Removal Procedure




1. Rase and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Description and Operation)
2. Note the location of the coolant heater cord in relation to the engine and transmission.
3. Disconnect the engine coolant heater cord (2) from the engine coolant heater.
4. Remove the coolant heater cord (2) retainer from the wiring harness.
5. Remove the coolant heater cord retainer (3, 4).
6. Remove the coolant heater cord retainer from the strut tower.
7. Remove the coolant heater cord from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the coolant heater cord to the engine and transmission.
2. Install the coolant heater cord retainer to the strut tower.
3. Install the coolant heater cord retainer (3, 4).
4. Install the coolant heater cord (2) retainer to the wiring harness.
5. Connect the engine coolant heater cord (2) to the engine coolant heater.
6. Lower the vehicle
