Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement (Inlet/Outlet With V92)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement (Base) (Service and Repair)Radiator Upper Grille Replacement (R1T, R1X) (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
3. Remove the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

5. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose from the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly.

6. Remove the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly bolt.

7. Disconnect the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly from the power steering fluid cooler.
8. Remove the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly to the vehicle.

2. Connect the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly to the power steering fluid cooler.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Connect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose to the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly.
5. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
6. Install the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement (Base) (Service and Repair)Radiator Upper Grille Replacement (R1T, R1X) (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair) .
