PCM Circuits:

DIAGNOSTIC CHECKS
^ This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets when vehicle speed changes 4 mph and is not accompanied by a 16.4 rpm transaxle input speed change in the next 1 second.

^ This DTC will turn on the "Service Engine Soon" Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
.
^ This DTC can be caused by the following:

- Intermittent opens or shorts to ground or each other on CKT 400 and CKT 401.
- Intermittent vehicle speed sensor
- Intermittent terminal contact at Powertrain Control Module (PCM) pins "1A10" and "1B10" or at the vehicle speed sensor.
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI) induced on CKTs 400 and 401 by running them along side spark plug wires or high power transmitters (like mobile radios) operating in the vicinity.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This diagnostic test compares the vehicle speed to the transaxle input speed (turbine speed). If a 4 mph vehicle speed change is not accompanied by a 13.8 rpm transaxle input speed change for the 3.11 final drive (VIN Y) or 16.4 rpm for the 3.71 final drive (VIN 9) within the next second, Code P075 will set. If the failure occurs 10 times in 10 seconds, the code will remain current for the entire ignition cycle.

TEST CONDITIONS
1. Codes P021, P022, P027, P056 and P090 not set.
2. Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) management brake switch not applied.
3. Traction control not active.
4. Two seconds since key "ON."
5. Throttle position 15.7 degrees or greater.
6. Engine speed 500 rpm or greater.

FAILURE CONDITION
Vehicle speed changes by 4 mph or more in 12.5 milliseconds.

ACTION TAKEN
1. PCM turns "ON" the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (Service Engine Soon).
2. PCM disables TCC.
3. PCM freezes transaxle in current gear.
4. If test and failure conditions are true 10 times within 10 seconds, Code P075 will remain current for the ignition cycle.
