Preliminary Checks

Prior to diagnosing system, ensure center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) is functioning properly.
1. Check cruise fuse for proper operation by observing the battery no charge indicator, with ignition switch in Run and engine Off
2. Check transaxle position switch by observing the PRNDL display.
3. Check vacuum hoses for leaks, kinks, and other restrictions.
4. Check cruise control servo linkage. If adjustment is necessary, refer to Fig. 1 for procedure.
