Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer toBucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the seat belt retractors from the front seat. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Driver or Passenger.
3. Remove the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement) .
4. Remove the side impact air bag. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Front Seat Side Impact Inflator Module Replacement.
5. Disconnect the air lines for the lumbar if equipped.




6. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector to the seat back.
7. Remove all of the seat back cover J channels retaining the seat back cover and pad to the seat back frame.




8. Remove the seat cover (1) and cushion (2) from the seat back frame.
9. Cut hog rings retaining seat back cover (1) to the seat back cushion (2).
10. Remove the seat back cover (1) from the seat back cushion (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the seat back cover (1) to the seat back cushion (2).
2. Align the seat cover (1) to the seat pad (2) and install the hog rings that retain the seat back cover (1) to the cushion (2).
3. Position the seat back cover and pad (1,2) to the seat back frame.
4. Install the J channels to seat back frame.




5. Connect the heated seat electrical connectors.
6. Connect lumbar air lines if equipped.
7. Install the front side impact air bag. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Front Seat Side Impact Inflator Module Replacement.
8. Install the front seat belt retractors to the front seat. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Driver or Passenger.
9. Install the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement) .
10. Install the front bucket seat into the vehicle. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
