Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
Tools Required
J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
1. Open the doors.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
4. Remove both rear upper quarter trim panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement) .
5. Remove the center high mounted stop lamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
6. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the push in retainers (2).
7. Lift upward and outward in order to remove the rear shelf panel (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Position the rear seat shelf panel (1) to the rear cross car beam support.
2. Install new push in retainers (2) in order to secure the shelf panel.
3. Install the center high mounted stop lamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
4. Install the rear upper quarter trim panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement) .
5. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
7. Close the doors.
