Carpet Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the center pillar lower trim, pull outward to release the center pillar lower trim from the center pillar.




2. Remove the outer seat track covers.




3. Remove the carpet retainer center screw.
The carpet retainer center screw is located below the center pillar lower trim finish panel.
4. Remove carpet retainer inserts to expose screws.
5. Remove the carpet retainer screws.
6. Remove the carpet retainer.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the carpet retainer.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the carpet retainer screws.

Tighten screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

3. Install the carpet retainer inserts.
4. Install the carpet retainer center screw.

Tighten screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




5. Install the outer seat track covers.
6. Install the seat track cover screws.

Tighten screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




7. Install the center pillar lower trim.
8. Install the center pillar trim screws.

Tighten screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
