Front Seat Back Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)).
2. Remove the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).




3. Remove the front seat memory module electrical connectors. The wiring harness (1) is routed under the front seat cushion frame and is secured by the straps (2).
4. Remove the front seat cushion inner finish panel by unsnapping.
5. Remove the seat back panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement).
6. Remove the front seat back heating element and seat back power recliner electrical connector.
7. Remove inflatable restraint front seat module electrical connector, if equipped.




8. Unroute inflatable restraint front seat module electrical wiring from seat if equipped.




9. Remove front seat back inner and outer clips.
10. Remove the front seat back inner and outer bolts.
11. Remove the front seat back from seat cushion.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the front seat back to front seat cushion.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the front seat back inner and outer bolts.

Tighten the front seat back inner and outer bolts to 45 Nm (35 lb ft).

3. Install the front seat back inner and outer clips.




4. Route inflatable restraint front seat module electrical wiring to seat if equipped.
5. Install the inflatable restraint front seat module electrical connector if equipped.
6. Install the seat back panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement).
7. Install the front seat back heating element and seat back power recliner electrical connectors.




8. Install the front seat cushion inner finish panel by snapping on.




9. Install the front seat memory module electrical connectors (1). The wiring harness is routed under the front seat cushion frame. Tie straps must be installed to prevent damage to the wiring harness.
10. Install the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).
11. Install the front seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)).
