Power Seat Adjuster Mechanism Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)).
2. Remove the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Remove the seat memory module electrical connectors.
4. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.




5. Remove the seat adjuster with actuator motors attached.
6. Disconnect the 3 driveshafts from the actuator motors and seat adjuster.
7. Remove the seat belt buckle pretensioner if removing inner seat adjuster.
8. Remove the seat adjuster actuator motor nus.
9. Remove the seat adjuster actuator motors form seat adjuster.

Installation Procedure

1. Adjust seat adjuster phase. Refer to Seat Adjuster Phase Adjustment (Adjustments).




2. Install the seat adjuster actuator motors to seat adjuster.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the adjuster actuator motor nuts.

Tighten the nuts 10 Nm (89 lb in).

4. Install the seat belt buckle pretensioner if removed.
5. Install the seat adjuster with actuator motors attached.
6. Install the 3 driveshafts back into the actuator motors and seat adjusters. Properly phase the seat adjuster before installing the driveshafts.
7. Install the adjuster bolts.

Tighten the bolts 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

8. Seat the memory module electrical connectors.
9. Install the front seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement).
10. Install the front seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)).
11. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration (Programming Features - Memory Seats).
