Sport Mode Switch/Indicator Always On or Inoperative
Sport Mode Switch/Indicator Always On or InoperativeCircuit Description
The Sport Mode shift program is available when the engine is running and the transmission is in Drive. Ignition voltage is supplied directly to the Sport Mode indicator inch lbs. the instrument cluster. The Transmission Control Module (TCM) controls the lamp by grounding the control circuit with an internal driver. The Sport Mode Selector Switch signal circuit is pulled up to B+ within the TCM. The other side of the switch connects to ground. When the switch is closed, the signal voltage is pulled low. The TCM toggles the Sport Mode with each press of the button. The Sport Mode shift program enables upshifts in the high-output RPM range of the engine for maximum acceleration and line pressure profiles for firm shifts.
