Compartment Trim Panel Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the cargo net.
3. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer toCompartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) .




4. Remove the rear compartment mat.
5. Remove the spare tire cover retainer bolt.
6. Remove the spare tire cover.
7. Remove the spare tire.
8. Remove the jack retainer.
9. Remove the scissor jack and the mounting bolt.




10. Remove the remote CD changer, as necessary. Refer to Remote CD Changer Replacement (U1S) in Entertainment.
11. Remove the cargo net trim panel retainers (1).
12. Remove the push-in retainers which secure the rear compartment trim panel. The retainers are located near the rear compartment lid hinges.
13. Remove the rear compartment front trim. Refer to Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear (Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear) .




14. Remove the rear compartment trim panel (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment trim panel (1).
2. Fit the trim around the rear compartment lid hinge springs.
3. Ensure all unnecessary wrinkles are removed.
4. Install the push-in retainers.
5. Install the rear compartment front trim. Refer to Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear (Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement - Rear) .




6. Install the cargo net trim panel retainers (1).
7. Install the remote CD changer, as necessary. Refer to Remote CD Changer Replacement (U1S) in Entertainment.




8. Install the jack mounting bolt.
9. Install the jack retainer nut.
10. Install the jack.
11. Install the spare tire.
12. Install the spare tire cover.
13. Install the spare tire cover retaining fastener.
14. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear) .
15. Install the cargo net.
16. Install the rear compartment mat.
17. Close the rear compartment lid.
