Sealing Strip Replacement - Inner Belt

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .




2. Using the J 38778 remove the 2 retainers (3) at the rear edge of the door.




3. Lift upward in order to remove the sealing strip from the door flange.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the sealing strips (1) to the holes at the rear of the door.
2. Install the 2 push in retainers (3) in order to secure the sealing strip (1) at the rear of the door.
3. Install the sealing strip to the door flange by pressing down on the entire length of the sealing strip (1). This action produces a butt joint at the front door window weatherstrip (4).
4. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (Service and Repair) .
