Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: Replace the steering column opening filler bracket if any damage exists. Do not repair the steering column opening filler bracket.



1. Remove the filler trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster) .




2. Remove the 4 fasteners from the steering column opening filler bracket (2).
3. Remove the steering column opening filler bracket (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering column opening filler bracket (2) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 4 fasteners in order to secure the steering column opening filler bracket.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the filler trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Knee Bolster) .
