Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the backup lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Replacement.




3. Remove the latch release cable (1) from the lid lock cylinder (2).




4. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the lid lock cylinder (1) to the rear compartment lid.
5. Remove the lid lock cylinder (1) from the rear compartment lid.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lid lock cylinder (1) to the rear compartment lid.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (2) to the lid lock cylinder (1).

Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





3. Install the latch release cable (1) to the lid lock cylinder (2).
4. Install the backup lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Replacement.
Inspect lock cylinder for proper operation.
5. Close the rear compartment.
