Window Replacement - Front Door (RPO CW2 and WC8 w/ Stationary Window)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard))Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8)) .
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
3. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Door Window Sealing Strip) .
4. Tape the window in place.
Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.




5. Remove the 4 10-mm attaching nuts (4) from the lower glass attachment brackets (3).
6. Remove the lower glass attachment brackets (3).




7. Remove the window from the door in the following order:

1. While supporting the window through the access hole of the inner panel, remove the tape holding the window up.
2. Lower the window slightly.
3. Tilt the window downward at the front.
4. Pull upward on the rear edge of the window.
5. Pull the window up and out of the door from the outer side of the window opening.




Installation Procedure





1. Install the window into the door in the following order:

1. Carefully lower the front edge of the window into the door from the outer side of the window opening.
2. Position the rear edge of the window downward.
3. Raise the window to the full up position.
4. Tape the window in place.





2. Install the lower window attachment brackets.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the 4 10-mm attaching nuts.

Tighten the fasteners to 18 Nm (24 lb ft).

4. Remove the tape from the window.
5. Install the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Door Window Sealing Strip) .
6. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair
7. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Standard))Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8) (Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (WC2, WC8)) .
