Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper).




3. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the front bumper impact bar (1) to the front bumper impact bar bracket.
4. Remove the front bumper impact bar (1) from the vehicle.




5. Remove the fastener (1) securing the rear of the front bumper impact bar bracket (3) to the vehicle.
6. Remove the fastener (2) securing the front of the front bumper impact bar bracket (3) to the vehicle.
7. Remove the front bumper impact bar bracket (3) from the vehicle.




8. Remove the stud plate retainer (2) from the stud plate (1).
9. Remove the stud plate (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the stud plate (1) to the vehicle.
2. Install the stud plate retainer (2) to the stud plate (1).




3. Install the front bumper impact bar bracket (3) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the front of the front bumper impact bar bracket (3).

Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

5. Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the rear of the front bumper impact bar bracket (3).

Tighten the fasteners to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).





6. Install the front bumper impact bar (1) to the front bumper impact bar bracket.
7. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the front bumper impact bar (1) to the front bumper impact bar bracket.

Tighten the fasteners to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

8. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper).
9. Close the hood.
