Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
Removal Procedure
1.Remove the rear fascia extension. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .
2.Remove the push-in retainers (2) by cutting with diagonal cutters.
1.Open the rear compartment.
2.Remove the rear sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
3.Remove the nuts (1) securing the fascia (2) to the rear end panel.
4.Remove the bolts (3) securing the fascia to the horizontal joint at the quarter panel (4).
5.Remove the fascia by sliding rearward to disengage the fascia from the rear bumper brackets.
Installation Procedure
1.Position the fascia (2) to the body.
2.Align the studs on the fascia to the holes in the rear end panel.
3.Install the fascia to the quarter panel pressing into place until fully secured.
Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .
4.Install the nuts (1) to secure the fascia to the rear end panel.
TightenTighten the nuts (1) to 6 N �m (53 lb in).
5.Position the fascia to the horizontal joint at the quarter panel (4).
6.Install the bolts (3) in order to secure the fascia to the quarter panel (4).
TightenTighten the bolts to 3 N �m(27 lb in).
1.Install new push-in retainers (2) to secure the fascia to the floorpan.
2.Install the sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement .
3.Install the rear fascia extension. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement .
4.Close the rear compartment.
