- Device Power Moding Error Compare Failure
Conditions for Running the DTC
Voltage supplied to the module is in the normal operating voltage range of 9-16 volts.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* The RCDLR detects a loss of the power mode message from the IPM.
* The IPM invalidates the power mode message.
* The RCDLR senses a change on its ignition mode switch inputs, twice, without receiving the corresponding message from the IPM.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The backup power mode becomes the system power mode. This code will set following the setting of the DTC B1440.
* The Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) indicator will illuminate.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
* A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
* A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold, without a repeat of the malfunction.

Circuit/System Verification
1. Verify DTC B1380, B1385, or B1440 is not set.
• If DTC is set refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle (Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions) .
2. With a scan tool, clear DTC's. Verify DTC BB1442 is not set.
• If DTC is set replace the IPM.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
