DTC Descriptor
DTC B3089
- Intrusion Sensor Armed Signal Circuit
Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System Description
When the Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) system arms and enables the intrusion sensor, the Rear Integration Module (RIM) receives a power-up acknowledgement from the intrusion sensor via the intrusion sensor armed signal circuit.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* CTD System is armed
* Intrusion sensor is enabled
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The RIM does not receive the power-up acknowledgement from the intrusion sensor
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The RIM will ignore all inputs from the intrusion sensor for the remainder of the CTD System arming cycle
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
A current DTC will clear when the RIM receives a power-up acknowledgement from the intrusion sensor during the next CTD system arming cycle

Circuit/System Verification
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the RIM. Disconnect the harness connector at the intrusion sensor.
2. Verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and B+.
• If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to ground.
3. Test for less than 2 ohms between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and the signal circuit terminal 11 at the RIM X2 harness connector.
• If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
4. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the signal circuit terminal C at the intrusion sensor and ground.
• If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to B+.
5. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the intrusion sensor.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure
