Removal and Replacement

Throttle Body Assembly Replacement (LP1, LY7)

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Notice: Refer to Disengaging Connectors Notice (Disengaging Connectors Notice) .

3. Remove the throttle body electrical connector.




4. Unlock and reposition the wiring harness conduit.




5. Remove the throttle body bolts.
6. Remove the throttle body and gasket.



Installation Procedure

1. Carefully clean the throttle body mounting surfaces of any gasket and/or seal material.




2. Install the throttle body and NEW gasket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the throttle body bolts.

Tighten the throttle body bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the wiring harness conduit.




5. Install the throttle body electrical connector.
6. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn (Programming and Relearning) .
8. Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs.
