Drive Line Vibration Dampener Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the exhaust pipe lower hanger bolts to gain access to the dampener bolts. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the two dampener bolts (1).
5. Remove the dampener.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the dampener on the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the two dampener bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the exhaust pipe lower hanger bolts. Refer to Intermediate Pipe Replacement (Service and Repair) .
