Digital Radio Receiver Replacement

Removal Procedure


Important: Do not swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock, "XM Theftlock" will be displayed.


1. Remove the rear compartment stowage trim. Refer to Body Rear Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the 3 retaining nuts to the digital radio receiver from the mounting bracket.




3. Lower the receiver from the mounting bracket and disconnect the coaxial and the electrical leads from the receiver.
4. Remove the radio receiver from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the digital radio receiver to the vehicle and connect the coaxial and the electrical leads to the receiver.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the receiver to the mounting bracket and install 3 retaining nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Remove the rear compartment stowage trim. Refer to Body Rear Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
