Rear Energy Absorber Replacement


Removal Procedure

1.Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .

2.Remove the emergency lock cylinder cable (3) from the rear compartment latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .





3.Remove the push-in fasteners (2) attaching the energy absorber (1) to the rear bumper extension.

4.Remove the energy absorber (1) from the bumper extension.

Installation Procedure





1.Position the energy absorber (1) to the bumper extension.

2.Install the emergency lock cylinder cable (3) to the rear compartment latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .

3.Install the push-in fasteners (2) that attach the energy absorber (1) to the bumper extension.

4.Install the bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
