Distance Sensing Cruise Control Aiming
1. Place a bubble level on top of the radar. Adjust the vertical control until the radar is level.
2. For horizontal adjustment:
1. Measure the back of the horizontal adjuster.
2. Adjust the horizontal until 6 mm (0.25 in) of the adjuster is sticking out behind the radar.
3. At this point the radar will do an automatic adjustment to align the radar. Use a Tech 2 and check the Auto Alignment Learn Status. The Tech 2 should indicate Aligned. If not, proceed to step 4.
4. Use a Tech 2 and the Adaptive Cruise Control Horizontal Adjustment Table. Using the Tech 2 Alignment Error, adjust the horizontal until the alignment error is between -2.5 and +2.5 degrees.
5. Cycle the ignition. Use a Tech 2 and check the Auto Alignment Learn Status. The Tech 2 should indicate Aligned. If not, repeat step 4 until aligned.
