Crankshaft Balancer Replacement

Tools Required

EN-48018 Flywheel Holding Tool

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the A/C compressor and power steering pump drive belt. Refer to Water Pump and Generator Belt Tensioner Replacement (Water Pump and Generator Belt Tensioner Replacement).
2. Remove the generator and water pump drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Tensioner Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Tensioner Replacement).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the transmission bell housing inspection hole cover.
5. Install the EN-48018 flywheel holding tool as shown.
6. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).




7. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Removal (9. Crankshaft Balancer Removal).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation (133. Crankshaft Balancer Installation).




2. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the EN-48018 flywheel holding tool.
4. Install the transmission bell housing inspection hole cover.
5. Install the generator and water pump drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Tensioner Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Tensioner Replacement).
6. Install the A/C compressor and power steering pump drive belt. Refer to Water Pump and Generator Belt Tensioner Replacement (Water Pump and Generator Belt Tensioner Replacement).
