PCV Valve Hose: Service and Repair

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LP1, LY7)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).




2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube from the left camshaft cover.
3. Remove the PCV fresh air tube from the air inlet.




4. Remove the PCV tube bracket bolts.
5. Remove the PCV dirty air tube from the right camshaft cover.
6. Remove the PCV dirty air tube from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the PCV dirty air tube to the intake manifold.
2. Install the PCV dirty air tube to the right camshaft cover.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the PCV tube bracket bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the air inlet.
5. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the left camshaft cover.
6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LP1, LY7) (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement)Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (LLT) (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
