Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the engine oil pressure switch (1) from the oil filter adapter (3).

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the engine oil pressure switch (1) to the oil filter adapter (3).

Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).

2. Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Adjust the engine oil level to the full mark.
5. Inspect for oil leaks after engine start up.
