Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Fan Motor Replacement (LFW, LFX)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cooling fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LFW or LFX) Service and RepairEngine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LSA) Service and Repair

2. Remove the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LSA) Service and RepairEngine Coolant Fan Replacement (LFW or LFX) Service and Repair





3. Remove the motor retaining screws (1).





4. Remove the motor from the shroud (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the motor to the shroud (1).





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the motor retaining screws (1) and tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb in).

3. Install the cooling fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LSA) Service and RepairEngine Coolant Fan Replacement (LFW or LFX) Service and Repair

4. Install the cooling fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LFW or LFX) Service and RepairEngine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LSA) Service and Repair
