Electronic Suspension Front Position Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Rotate the front tires to gain access to the position sensor.
3. Disconnect the electrical suspension front position sensor link (2) from the lower control arm (1).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the electrical suspension front position sensor (1).
5. Remove the nut for the electrical suspension front position sensor (1).
6. Remove the electrical suspension front position sensor (2).
Installation Procedure
Note: Ensure that the front position sensor is properly seated in the mounting bracket.
1. Position the electrical suspension front position sensor (2) in the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Install and tighten the electrical suspension front position sensor nut (1) and tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb ft).
3. Reconnect the electrical connector (2) to the electrical suspension front position sensor (1).
4. Connect the electrical suspension front position sensor link (2) to the lower control arm (1).
5. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
6. Straighten the front tires.
7. Re-calibrate the trim height for the front position sensor. Refer to Electronic Suspension Front Position Sensor Trim Height Calibration Electronic Suspension Front Position Sensor Trim Height Calibration.
