Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Impala)

Removal Procedure

1. Position the rear door window in the full down position.
2. Remove the rear door inner trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Impala) (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the rear door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Impala) (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Impala) (Door Window Weatherstrip).




6. Remove the 2 rear door window to the regulator bolts.
7. Set the rear door window in the bottom of the door.




8. Remove the rear door window.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the rear door window in the bottom of the door.

Important:
* Install the forward front door window regulator bolt first.

* Ensure that both sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards. If this condition is present the rear door window will not raise properly.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




2. Slide the window up and install the two bolts which hold the rear door window to the window regulator.

Tighten the rear door window to regulator bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Impala) (Door Window Weatherstrip).
4. Install the rear door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Impala) (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Impala) (Service and Repair).
6. Install the rear door inner trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
