Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement




Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LDE, LLU, LXV, 2H0, LUW and LFH)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without Start/Stop System) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without Start/Stop System).
2. Unclip the engine control module, if necessary.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
4. Place a drain pan below the vehicle.
5. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill).




6. Loosen the radiator inlet hose clamp (2).
7. Remove the radiator inlet hose (3) from the radiator (1).
8. Loosen the radiator inlet hose clamp (4).
9. Remove the radiator inlet hose (3) from the thermostat housing (5).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the radiator inlet hose (3) to the thermostat housing (5).
2. Install the radiator inlet hose clamp (4).
3. Install the radiator inlet hose (3) to the radiator (1).
4. Install the radiator inlet hose clamp (2).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill).
7. Clip in the engine control module, if necessary.
8. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without Start/Stop System) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without Start/Stop System).
