Front Brake Hose Replacement (LFX)
Removal Procedure
Warning:

Caution:

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wQ50) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wQ50)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wRT2) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wRT2).
3. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (1) from the strut assembly.
4. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1).
5. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
6. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (1) from the wheelhouse panel.
7. Remove the brake hose fitting bolt (1).
Note:
Do not reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.
8. Remove the brake hose fitting gaskets (2) from the brake hose (3).
9. Discard the brake hose fitting gaskets.
10. Remove the brake hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Assemble the brake hose fitting bolt (1) with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets (2) to the brake hose (3).
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Install the brake hose assembly to the brake caliper and tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).
3. Install the brake hose bracket bolt (1) on the wheelhouse panel and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
4. Connect the brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 16 Nm (12 lb ft).
5. Install the brake hose bracket bolt (1) on the strut assembly and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
6. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure).
7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wQ50) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wQ50)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wRT2) Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (wRT2).
